Summary
The QTI Group is partnering with a Madison-area specialty product manufacturer to hire a Product Development Researcher. This individual will carry out experimental design and execution in a new product development environment, helping to develop the newest and most effective pest control products on the market.
Compensation Range: $70,000-80,000 + annual bonus and excellent benefits. Our client also offers a start-of-the-art lab and office environment, as well as an onsite fitness center.
Responsibilities:
- Dive deep into identified categories and vet different approaches by reviewing existing literature and experimental information for current and competitor products and/or emerging products.
- Develop experimental formulations to determine performance using the metrics of palatability, efficacy, and product stability.
- Generate clear, concise experimental methods for the generation and collection of data.
- Establish well-defined project plans for the execution of research.
- Effectively search and use scientific literature to enhance product development efforts.
- Understand EPA regulations and other regulatory guidelines.
- Provide preliminary interpretations and assessment of research results.
- Present data in departmental and interdepartmental meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in a product-driven industrial or research environment.
- Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with laboratory animals preferred.
- In-depth understanding of toxicology dosing techniques is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis is preferred.
- Self-motivation with the ability to conduct research independently and as part of a team.
