Summary:
Join an independent CPA firm as an Office Administrator! This temp-to-hire position will operate full-time onsite in Madison, WI, paying $20 or more per hour based on experience. The ideal candidate will have directly related experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Manager, strong organization skills, and the ability to flex with changing priorities and workload during tax season. The Office Administrator may work overtime during tax season, and enjoy part-time hours in the summer.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and direct visitors
  • Answer and direct calls; respond to and route email correspondence as appropriate
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and ensure cleanliness of common areas
  • Intake and scan client documents; save, organize, and track workflow in spreadsheets
  • Process completed tax returns for clients and maintain client database
  • Manage general office filing systems
  • Maintain office equipment as well as supply inventory
  • Run errands locally as needed for mail, office supplies, etc.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of Office Management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word and willingness to learn new programs
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Willingness to complete background check upon offer
