Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join the team of a locally owned packaging company. The ideal candidate will have experience in stainless steel metal fabrication, welding, and a background in a food production environment. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, fabricating metal components, and ensuring high-quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity on 1st shift, offering full benefits. Pay starts at $25.00 with consideration of experience level.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Perform stainless steel metal fabrication tasks including cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts.
- Execute welding operations to join metal components with precision.
- Operate and maintain metalworking machinery.
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with stainless steel in various fabrication processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques along with cutting, grinding and other metalworking techniques.
- Experience in a food production or similar industry a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
