The QTI Group is partnering with a Milwaukee-area contract manufacturer to recruit for a Business Development Manager. In this “hunter” role, the Business Development Manager will drive new business growth and ensure customer’s custom manufacturing needs become a reality.

Location: On-site with occasional day travel (up to 10%) in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 + Bonus. This is not a commissioned role.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify strategic business development plans and customer opportunities to prioritize growth based on industry targets.
  • Conduct high-level industry research to develop sales and build a network of contacts to attract new customers.
  • Qualify new customers and other new business acquisition by leveraging deep knowledge of company’s capabilities to recommend and deliver on custom manufactured solutions.
  • Develop sales projections and forecast revenue.
  • Monitor and report on metrics to mid-level and senior-level management.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and review sales data to identify trends and patterns for business development opportunities.
  • Effectively represent the company’s value proposition and brand consistency through business development activities.
  • Identify relevant insights on potential projects and evaluate sales strategies.
  • Optimize CRM platform for effective project documentation, reporting and storytelling through data.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Sales and/or Account Management preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing desired; custom manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong communication/presentation skills with innate ability to develop rapport with others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leveraging CRM technology in an outside sales capacity.
