The QTI Group is excited to partner with a manufacturer of packaging solutions to hire their next Controls Automation Engineer. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of control systems in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Design, program and implement PLC-based control systems in various packaging equipment product lines
- Develop and maintain HMI interfaces
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate control systems into machine designs
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues
- Building and machine wiring – 120/240/480 Volt systems
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree desired
- Proven experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development
- Experience in automation with food plant experience preferred
- Proven project management and machine design experience
